I know I have been MIA the last couple of weeks. Honestly, I just didn't take the time to sit down and post! If you have been following me on Facebook, you know that the entire family got the nasty stomach bug and I ended up in the hospital because of it (Lacy-Kate was close to going to the hospital as well, Laken and Micah didn't have it quite as bad). We also spent our Christmas holiday in the DC area with my family. Overall, it's been a great break, but I'm glad to be getting back into the swing of things!
I feel like the kids have grown so much over the past few weeks, so I'll just do a quick update.
Laken: 2.5 years old and thinks he's 10! He's very bright and just says some of the funniest things! He's totally into all things train, Leapfrog, and reading. He so desperately wants to read. He loves looking at letters and saying them, then asking me what it says. I love this stage. :-)
Lacy-Kate: 11 months and totally content being where she is. She's a total Mommy-magnet and is not happy when others are holding her or when I put her down. She's starting to get better because Laken is trying to get her to play and she absolutely adores him. At Laken's playgroup yesterday, we were watching him through the window in the door. She caught a glimpse of him eating his snack and started grabbing at the door saying, "Bruh-buh, Bruh-buh!" Too sweet!I can't believe that she'll be 1 in 22 days!!
Micah and I are doing great. Awana has started back up, so that will keep us busy. Micah is also getting ready to start 2 of his last 3 Master's courses. He's getting his Master's in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and we can't wait for him to be done! I'm so proud of how much work he has done while having a full time job and a more than full time family!
I will write again soon and post some updated pictures of the kids and what we are doing for school!
