23 Weeks Picture

Just thought I would quickly add my 23 week picture! I'll write more later!

Laken's Health

Some of you know that we had a bit of a scare about Laken's health. We found out last week that he only has a 2 vessel cord instead of one with 3 vessels. We went to a perinatologist and genetic counselor today and it seems like everything is going to be okay. He does have the 2 vessel cord, but because we are so young, there shouldn't be any other complications. Praise the Lord!!! He will be monitored more closely and we will have another ultrasound in about 8 or 9 weeks to make sure that he is growing properly and we should be fine after that! I will still be considered high risk, but most likely, everything will turn out fine and Laken will be healthy. Thank you to those of you who have been praying for us! We got to have another ultrasound today, so I'll post some of the pictures!

Laken's Room

This past weekend, Micah and I put together as much of Laken's room as we can. Here are some pictures. Besides the furniture, our first gift (the stroller) is in his room. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!

Shopping

Even though Micah and I JUST found out that we are having a boy, I feel like I have gone shopping crazy! I bought a bunch of clothes for Laken at The Children's Place (online...they were having an AWESOME sale- and it is mostly all for this time next year) and I just bought his bedding. This is the bedding we decided on:
It's from Pottery Barn and I just think it is so cute. It's very simple and classic, so I hope Laken will like it- because he's going to have it for a long time! :-)

Healthy, baby BOY!!!! We had our big ultrasound today and we were so excited see our little boy moving around...a lot! His name is Laken Josiah and he's the cutest little thing I've ever seen! Here are some pictures!

First Baby Purchase!

Here's our first baby purchase- a Vera Bradley baby bag! I was able to get it monogrammed already! YAY!!!! I decided to only get a G monogrammed so that I can use it for any other babies we have! :-)
